REM Behavior Disorder: REM behavior disorder (RBD) is a parasomnia disorder characterized by shouting, becoming physically agitated, or otherwise acting out during sleep. For many, RBD is a symptom of a larger, more serious condition or disorder, such as Alzheimer’s disease or PTSD. CBD oil minimizes the symptoms of RBD, and also alleviates the anxiety and painful symptoms that often accompany disorders that lead to RBD.
Now, scientific research is discovering why. Evidence from laboratory studies and clinical studies, have begun to reveal the mechanisms through which CBD helps control seizures. But, unlike most other conditions that CBD has been shown to treat, the FDA has actually agreed that the evidence is conclusive enough that CBD is now an approved medication for epilepsy for humans.
Research on CBD and anxiety has generally looked at cannabis as a whole product, not as CBD as a standalone compound. Some studies suggest that it can help with anxiety: like this 2011 study that suggests CBDcan reduce social anxiety or this 2015 review that says CBD could be promising for many forms of anxiety. So, you need a CBD-induced mood change. You need to calm your mind, boost your vibe, refocus, and perhaps meditate on a few things. There are plenty of ways to get the right dose, but you’d prefer these effects to settle in quickly and that CBD edible is definitely going to take its time kicking in. Topical creams won’t tackle the full-body feel you’re going for either.
